This photo appeared in a local paper in conjunction
with an article about my birth experiences, and
my vision for BirthLove. Note that my husband
Bill is not in the picture, as he was working
at the time. (Also note that he hates getting
his picture taken anyway.)
Born October 22, 1988. Heather
is known by many on the Neopets site as
Vampyera. She plays a mean game of Pokémon
cards, and has completed Gameboy Crystal
and Silver. Her favorite Pokémon
are Eevee (and all Eevee evolutions),
Scyther, Dragonite, Suicune, Lugia, Articuno,
Zapdos, Raichu, and Marril. She likes
reading the Redwall series, Harry Potter
books, and anything with dragons. She
has been drawing since long before she
could read or write, and for her a pencil
in her hand is as natural as breathing.
Henry James McCracken
Born February 19, 1990.
Henry is our resident expert about just
about everything- including RC truck racing!
Don't take his silliness lightly- he has
a passion for whooping everyone on the
track! (And don't ask him if his truck
is from Radio Shack!) Henry likes Harry
Potter books, Neopets, snowboarding and
skiing, snowmobiling, Pokémon,
Playstation, real stadium trucks, and
haircuts (he really, really, really wants
one but his mom won't give him one in
the winter). He also loves his dogs.
Daniel Louis McCracken
Born December 30, 1991. Daniel-
also known as Poppersmoke in Neopets- likes
Playstation, hockey, going to the pool and
doing the low dive, Star Wars, going to
the mall, Monster Rancher, and BMX biking.
His favorite Pokémon is Nidoking.
He would love to try motocross and
ATV riding one day! Kyosho is his favorite
RC car company. He also likes dragons, cars,
drawing and Harry Potter books.
Charles Xavier McCracken
Born March 5th, 1994. Also
known as "exploraboy" because
of his inexhaustible curiosity about everything.
Charles likes going for walks, cars, Lego,
Pokémon, computers, racing car
games, playing with his John F. Kennedy
GI-Joe and his Ultra Corps guys and making
clothes for them. He also likes making
things, looking for neat stuff wherever
he goes, cracking and helping scramble
eggs, doing experiments, and drawing.
He likes cake and the colors purple, green
and blue.
Sydney Amadeus McCracken
Born February 23, 1996-
Sydney likes peanut butter and jam sandwiches,
mom's cooking, going to the mall, Pikachu,
swimming, looking for bugs, playing with
his cars, Spiderman toys, Rotten Ralph
books, riding his bike, games, Hotwheels,
going places on buses, dogs and cats,
and Gumby. He likes to wrestle with all
of his siblings. He doesn't like being
called cute.
Skye David McCracken
Born January 16, 1998. The
baby that changed our lives forever- our
first homebirth- is everyone's "Little
Pixie Skye Guy". Heis
full of happiness and life, and he likes
animals, sunshine, laughing, Pokémon
plushies, birds reading books, playing
with his big sister Heather (she plays
Charmander, he plays Vulpix), Snoopy videos,
and going on the ride-on toys at the mall.
He thinks birds, squirrels, and turtles
are cute. He doesn't like spiders.
Sean Christopher McCracken
Born January 24, 2000. Sean
was born on the day of the Chinese New Year-
a very lucky birth day, the year of the
Golden Dragon. Unfortunately he thinks he's
a little Monkey! Sean likes candles, lights,
dogs, Pokémon, climbing on things,
playgrounds, "working" on computers
(especially when his Mommy is), trucks,
bus rides, cats, drawing, and toys of all
sorts. Sean thinks he's the boss of the
whole house.
Natasha Rhiannon McCracken
Born March 14, 2002, Natasha
was our third child born at home. She is
such a joyful, sweet, cuddly addition to
our family- she is treasured by all. This
photo was taken within hours of her birth.
Natasha likes her big brothers playing with
her, nursing lots, and being held close.
She also likes sleeping on her Daddy's chest.
